Description:

About the Role

We’re looking for a Junior HTML Developer to join our in‑house email development team. Working on a hybrid basis from our Support Office in Handforth (Cheshire), you’ll split your working week between the office and home.

Reporting to the Loyalty Programme Manager, you’ll help build, manage and optimise email campaigns sent to our Pets at Home customer base — including both VIP and non‑VIP members. You’ll work alongside CRM Marketing Executives, HTML specialists and wider teams to deliver high‑quality, responsive communications that support our commercial and customer objectives.

What you’ll do

  • Develop, build and manage email campaigns in collaboration with CRM Marketing Executives.
  • Populate and build responsive HTML email and in‑app message templates using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Carry out thorough QA testing to ensure accuracy, functionality and high standards.
  • Manage data within the email platform, including importing/exporting data and creating filters.
  • Follow production schedules and deliver communications to agreed deadlines.
  • Perform A/B testing to support optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders to create best‑in‑class communications aligned to business goals.
  • Support reporting and performance analysis with the CRM Executive.
  • Work alongside the HTML Email Executive to share knowledge, refine best practice and manage workflow.

About Your Experience

You’ll bring:

  • A strong customer focus.
  • Great attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive approach and the confidence to work on your own initiative.
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.

Desirable experience

  • (Not essential — but a bonus if you have them!)
  • Knowledge of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Understanding of cross‑browser/platform constraints, coding solutions and email design standards.
  • Hands‑on experience with an email platform.
  • Knowledge of responsive HTML and CSS for email.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign or XD.

Inclusion

Our diversity and inclusion vision is that everyone is welcome and feels part of our Group. If you think you’re a great match for what we’re looking for — and you share our belief that together we’re better with pets — we’d love to hear from you, whatever your background or circumstances.
