As our Portfolio Test Lead, you'll play a critical role in ensuring quality is built into everything we deliver, helping us create seamless, reliable and customer-focused experiences across our digital platforms.

About the Role

This isn't just a testing role. It's an opportunity to lead quality across a complex technology portfolio, influence delivery at a strategic level and build a culture where quality is everyone's responsibility.

Reporting to the Head of IT Delivery, you'll lead and develop a team of Test Managers and Agile Software Test Engineers while partnering with Product, Delivery and Technology leaders to ensure our solutions are robust, scalable and fit for the future. You'll be the driving force behind our quality strategy, helping teams balance pace, innovation and risk without compromising customer experience.

What you'll be doing

• Defining and evolving our technology-wide testing and quality strategy.
• Leading, coaching and inspiring testing professionals to achieve their full potential.
• Championing modern quality engineering practices, automation and continuous improvement.
• Working closely with Delivery and Portfolio Leads to ensure quality is considered from day one.
• Providing clear quality insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Identifying and mitigating risks relating to performance, security, accessibility and compliance.
• Helping shape the future of quality engineering across a growing technology organisation.

What we're looking for

You'll be a passionate quality leader who enjoys influencing, coaching and driving positive change.

You'll bring:

• A proven track record of leading testing across complex portfolios, programmes or large-scale technology environments.
• Experience developing and leading high-performing testing teams.
• Strong knowledge of quality assurance, test automation and modern engineering practices.
• The ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working in Agile environments with modern DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes.
