About your Role

We’re seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Product Technologist to join our team in the development and delivery of high-quality, compliant pet accessories. This is a pivotal role that combines technical expertise with leadership and strategic collaboration across global sourcing operations.  You’ll be responsible for managing technologists, driving product quality and safety standards, and working closely with our Asia-based satellite sourcing office to ensure seamless and on time execution of product development from concept to shelf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead product technologists within the team
  • Take on Management Role of Line Manager in periods of absence
  • Oversee product development ensuring compliance to legislation and quality and safety standards to protocol are met, for category areas of responsibility
  • Collaboration with key stakeholders in Hong Kong Sourcing office to align launch timings, specification and protocol requirements
  • Ensure both up to date knowledge and adherence to legal and regulatory standards in areas of responsibility (notably GPSR, REACH, FSC, RoHS, SVHC and WEEE)
  • Ensure that Benchmarking is supported through testing requirements to evidence performance against competitive set
  • Review and advise on QMS audit, specifically process and product standards
  • Responsible for Creation of Pack Copy documentation to support artwork creation on packaging
  • Responsible for supporting the compliance team with root cause analysis during product/process/packaging issues causing customer dissatisfaction

About You

  • Extensive work (8+ years) within product development and/or quality assurance within an accessories, homeware or pet related industry
  • Management experience (small team)
  • Knowledge and experience of working with Global Sourcing Teams
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Project Management Tools
  • Detail Orientated able to multi-task multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly organised
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Able to make Decisions in a timely and sometimes reactive manner
  • Powerpoint and Presentation Expertise – Desirable
  • Textile or Design Degree (or Equivalent) – Desirable
