Description:

If you enjoy providing great service and working in a team, we have just the opportunity for you at our Glasgow Pollokshaws Vets for Pets practice as a Client Care Advisor on a 12 month fixed term contract.

Our practice is purpose-built and located inside a busy Pets at Home store in the south side of Glasgow, close to a great selection of local amenities and well-placed for transport links into the city. Our surgery is equipped with theatre, digital x-ray, ultrasound and laboratory facilities, as well as 3 consulting rooms and separate dog, cat and isolation wards.

What your typical day will look like

Your role is to deliver exceptional service to our clients and the highest standard of care for their pets, acting as a key link between clients and our clinical team. Building strong relationships with clients, their pets and the wider practice team will be central to your success.

Providing outstanding client care at every visit, you will ensure clients leave feeling valued, satisfied and confident in the service they have received.

You will greet clients warmly, offering support and guidance, while confidently managing payments and future bookings. You will also help coordinate the smooth day-to-day running of the practice using our online booking system, so good computer skills are essential.

We are looking for our new colleague to join our team working 18.5 hours per week across 2 days plus 1 in 4 Saturdays. Previous experience in a customer facing role is essential, and experience working in a similar clinical environment would be preferred. Please note this is a fixed term contract up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.

The attributes required:

  • You are the friendly and welcoming face for the client and their pets when they arrive at the practice.
  • You are able to provide guidance by keeping yourself fully up-to-speed with the practice services and any additional services available.
  • You are calm, attentive and always focus on the clients’ needs.
  • You will bring enthusiasm and drive to your role. Your passion for service is matched with your love of pets.
  • You work with the team to create a welcoming and friendly atmosphere in the practice.

In short, you like to be busy, enjoy helping people and their pets and always endeavour to make a difference.
