Salary from £55,000 to £70,000 DOE | Full-Time 40 Hours | Every Other Saturday | Certificate Support
We have an exciting new vision, and you could be the Experienced Veterinary Surgeon who helps us bring it to life! Join our inspiring small animal practice in Guildford and help us make it number one in pet care.
Guildford Vets for Pets is situated inside one of our new concept Pets at Home stores and is designed to deliver not only the highest clinical standards, but also a welcoming and supportive working environment for the whole team.
The practice is fitted with a high calibre of equipment, including Dental X-Ray, Video Otoscope and Microscope, as well as a dedicated surgical theatre and individually temperature- and lighting-controlled kennels.
In Your Role
As an experienced Veterinary Surgeon, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding clinical and client care, managing a varied small animal caseload and building strong relationships with clients and their pets.
You’ll have at least two years’ small animal clinical experience and be confident working independently, including taking sole charge when required. You’ll be comfortable managing your own caseload, carrying out consultations, medical workups and routine surgical procedures, supported by a well-equipped practice and a collaborative team.
We’re looking for someone who is passionate about maintaining high clinical standards and keen to continue developing their skills. Certificate holders, those currently working towards a certificate, and vets with a particular clinical interest could all be a great fit for what we’re looking for.
There will be opportunities to develop your interests and expand your clinical skill set, including exposure to advanced surgeries, orthopaedic procedures and in-house referrals. You’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside a strong network of veterinary specialists, giving you access to additional expertise and support to help deliver the highest standards of patient care.
Whether you already have a particular area of clinical interest or are looking to develop one, we’ll support you in building your skills and progressing your career.
You’ll also be a confident communicator and supportive team player, committed to working collaboratively with colleagues and providing an excellent experience for both clients and their pets.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, including every other Saturday, 9am–5pm.
Salary between £55,000 to £70,000 depending on experience, with a package designed to recognise your skills and experience.
If you share our passion for delivering outstanding pet healthcare and great customer service, we would love to hear from you!
