We’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team at Tunbridge Wells Vets for Pets as we embark on an exciting new chapter under new management.

Following a recent rebrand, we have a clear vision for the future and are looking to build a thriving, consistent practice with a strong permanent team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a vet who wants to make their mark, help shape the clinical direction of the practice and be part of its continued growth.

About the Team

You’ll be joining a welcoming and sociable team consisting of:

• 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs)
• 3 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs)
• Practice Manager

We’re a friendly, collaborative team who enjoy working together to provide excellent patient and client care.

The Practice & Caseload

We’re a busy small animal practice treating primarily cats and dogs, with a varied and interesting caseload.

The practice is well equipped with:

• Laparoscopy equipment
• Endoscopy
• Orthopaedic equipment
• Ethicon Harmonic cautery

We currently work alongside visiting specialists in areas including orthopaedics, cardiology, diagnostic imaging and ophthalmology, and our vision is to continue developing our in-house clinical offering and expertise.

We’d particularly welcome an experienced GP vet who is already working towards, or interested in pursuing, a certificate and would enjoy developing their clinical interests and taking on more advanced cases.

We’re focused on building a consistent, successful and forward-thinking practice, supported by a permanent veterinary team. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute ideas, develop your own clinical interests and play an important role in shaping the future of the practice.

Based in beautiful Royal Tunbridge Wells, on the Kent and Sussex borders, the practice offers an excellent location with:

• Retail Park location with M&S, Asda, Dunelm, Homesense, TK Maxx, Next and more nearby
• Countryside and nature reserves within walking distance
• Excellent transport links – London approximately 40 minutes by train
• Brighton approximately 1 hour by car
• Free parking

Work-Life Balance & Benefits

• Salary up to £75,000 pro rata, depending on experience
• Full-time and part-time hours available
• 1 in 2 Saturdays, 9am–5pm, with a weekday off in lieu
