Are you a natural leader who has the passion to inspire and motivate others in a fast-paced and dynamic veterinary surgery? Southend on Sea Vets for Pets have an opportunity for a Practice Manager to join them on a temporary basis (9-12 months).
Our delightful standalone veterinary practice based on Southchurch Road in Southend on Sea enjoys an excellent reputation within the local community. You’ll be joining a hard-working and inclusive team who are passionate about being at the heart of the local community and our practice provides excellent facilities.
This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week and weekends on a rota basis which will be discussed at interview. The position is fixed term for 9 to 12 months and to start as soon as possible.
What we’re looking for:
This position would suit an RVN looking to take a step back from a full-on clinical role into a more management role, or any previous management experience within a veterinary practice would also be advantageous.
As our Practice Manager, you’ll ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the business and support our Practice Owners in achieving key business objectives. Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily operations to ensure seamless service delivery
- Upholding our ethos as the friendliest practice in the area
- Managing and implementing HR policies for a valued team including supporting mental health
- Resolving challenges swiftly to maintain excellent client service
- Recruiting, training, rota and holiday management
- Managing your own schedule to achieve operational goals.
Key Requirements:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, encourage, and manage the team effectively.
- Proven team management experience.
- Strong communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
- Dedication to building strong relationships with clients and the team.
