Job Type:  Permanent

Description:

Are you a natural leader with a passion for motivating others in a fast-paced and dynamic veterinary practice?

Do you understand the importance of providing exceptional customer service and inspiring others to do the same?

Our Burgess Hill team is looking for the right person to join them as a Practice Manager. If you have excellent problem-solving abilities, enjoy planning and delivering bespoke projects, and are confident in managing the HR requirements of a diverse and inclusive veterinary team, this could be the role for you. Previous experience in a similar role would be ideal but is not essential. We are looking for proven leadership skills, strong organisational abilities, excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic and the drive to always go above and beyond in what you do. You need to be confident to turn your hand to whatever is needed whether it be looking at KPIs, reviewing finances and accounts, dealing with complaints, ordering equipment, supporting colleagues and making us even better at what we do. We are looking for an individual who not only problem solves but then instinctively puts measures in place to ensure the same issue does not arise again.

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the business operates effectively on a day-to-day basis. You will manage, support, and motivate the team, creating a positive and productive working environment. You will play a key role in the effective management of the practice to enable the delivery of high-quality animal healthcare services, while also supporting the Practice Owners in achieving business objectives and maximising the practice’s potential.

We are ideally looking for someone to work full time but would consider part time role for the right candidate. We are committed to supporting a healthy work–life balance and are happy to discuss flexible shift patterns to suit your individual needs. All team members share the weekend rota, so working 1 weekend (Saturday and Sunday) once a month would be part of your contract, with time off in the week in lieu.  There are no out-of-hours duties.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a 20% discount at Pets at Home and access to additional discounts and cashback offers. We also provide in-house career development opportunities, along with a pension scheme and holiday allowance. More importantly you get to work with a team that has the same passion as you for delivering an exceptional service to both our client’s and patients.

Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
