If you’re seeking a friendly, supportive practice where you can enjoy variety, autonomy, and balance this could be the perfect next step.

Why Join Hertford Vets for Pets?
We’re a small, close-knit team where everyone plays an important role and no one feels like “just a number.” Our nurses are central to how the practice runs, with real involvement across all aspects of clinical care from anaesthesia and inpatient care to nurse consults, lab work and theatre. You’ll have the freedom to shape your role around your strengths and interests.

About the Practice
Based in the charming town of Hertford, our purpose-built clinic offers a welcoming environment for both clients and colleagues. You’ll be joining a warm and supportive team made up of:

  • 2 Veterinary Surgeons

  • 1 Receptionist

Our facilities include:

  • Separate cat and dog wards
  • Isolation unit and sterile theatre
  • Digital X-ray and ultrasound
  • In-house laboratory and microscope
  • Capnography with pulse oximetry

We’re proud of our loyal client base and the time we give our team to deliver outstanding care. With 30-minute appointments for non-routine consults and regular visiting specialists (including cardiology, diagnostic imaging and orthopaedics), you’ll enjoy meaningful case involvement and ongoing learning opportunities.

“The team at Hertford Vets for Pets is lovely and the pace is just right. I learned so much during my time here and really enjoyed the balance between consults, anaesthesia and leadership duties.” – Head Nurse
