Registered Veterinary Nurse
Are you a Registered Veterinary Nurse looking for a role where you’re genuinely appreciated, supported as a person, and encouraged to grow? Would you love to work in a friendly, close knit practice where your ideas matter, your wellbeing is respected, and no two days feel the same?
If that sounds like you, we’d love to welcome you to Hertford Vets for Pets.
Why Choose Hertford Vets for Pets?
We’re proud to be a small, supportive team where everyone plays a meaningful role and nobody feels like “just a number.” Our nurses are at the heart of what we do and are actively involved in all areas of clinical care — from anaesthesia and inpatient care to nurse consultations, laboratory work and theatre.
We believe in trust, autonomy and development, giving you the freedom to shape your role around your strengths, interests and career ambitions, while always having the support of a caring team around you.
About Our Practice:
Located in the charming market town of Hertford, our purpose built clinic offers a calm, welcoming environment for both clients and colleagues. You’ll be joining a warm, collaborative team made up of: 2 Vets, a head nurse and a small non clinical team
Our well equipped practice includes:
- Separate cat and dog wards
- Isolation unit and sterile theatre
- Digital X ray and ultrasound
- In house laboratory and microscope
- Capnography with pulse oximetry
We’re fortunate to have a loyal, engaged client base and we prioritise giving our team the time they need to deliver truly high quality care. Non routine consultations are 30 minutes, and we regularly work with visiting specialists in cardiology, diagnostic imaging and orthopaedics — offering you excellent exposure and learning opportunities.
“The team at Hertford Vets for Pets is lovely and the pace is just right. I learned so much during my time here and really enjoyed the balance between consults, anaesthesia and leadership duties.”— Head Nurse
