Job Type:  Permanent

Description:

Vets for Pets Worcester isn't your average vet practice. We've been named Practice of the Year within the Vets for Pets group (2017) and awarded Best Vets in Worcestershire (2024, 2025) — and we've earned those accolades by refusing to stand still.

Under the leadership of Head Vet Jonathan Nicol, who has grown the practice over 15 years into one of the most progressive in the region, we invest seriously in the tools, the technology, and the people that keep us ahead.

Think CT scanning, AI-assisted X-ray interpretation, keyhole surgery, stem cell therapy, and in-house labs — all under one roof. We're also an accredited training practice, which means learning and development aren't just perks here. They're part of who we are.

Our ethos is simple: help every client get the very best care for their pet, within the reality of their individual circumstances and budget. That takes skill, empathy, and great communication — and it's something we take real pride in.

Life at Worcester:

We're a team of 30 people, and we genuinely like each other. We socialise, we celebrate, and we have a running list of clubs — book club, movie club, craft club, and more — that reflects just how varied and interesting our people are. If you like the idea of being part of a team in the fullest sense of the word, you'll fit right in here.

*We work 8-hour shifts with a paid lunch break and paid overtime — rare in veterinary, and something we're proud of. All roles involve 1 in 3 weekends (we're open 7 days a week), and we think that's a fair and sustainable way to work.*

The role:

We're looking for a qualified veterinary nurse to join our busy, talented team. You'll be working with an exceptional range of cases and cutting-edge equipment, alongside colleagues who are passionate about doing things properly and always looking to improve.

Experience level is flexible — if you're newly qualified and eager to grow, we'd love to hear from you. If you're more experienced and looking for a practice that matches your ambition, the same applies.

What we’re looking for:

A registered veterinary nurse with the drive to develop. You'll take genuine pride in the quality of care you give, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and bring the kind of warmth and communication skills that help clients feel supported — whatever their situation. Ambition and curiosity are very welcome here.

What we offer:

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience
  • Pension
  • 8-hour shifts with paid lunch break
  • Paid overtime
  • RCVS fees paid
  • Generous CPD allowance
  • Certificate support and encouragement
  • Heavily discounted private medical
  • Corporate savings and discount scheme
  • Uniform and shoes provided
  • Vets for Pets group benefits
  • Thriving social and clubs scene

Ready to join a practice that invests in you? Send your CV and a covering note to Emma at NorthVet@vets4pets.com

Even if your skills and experience don’t perfectly align, if you think you can make a unique contribution through your values and behaviours, we want to hear from you!
