An exciting opportunity has arisen at our small animal practice in Millhouses Vets4Pets in South West Sheffield for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team.
We are a stand-alone practice offering a welcoming environment with an experienced and committed team. We can offer a fantastic location to work on the edge of the Peak District, as well as boasting some state-of-the-art equipment and plenty of opportunity to develop your own clinical interests.
As a team here at Millhouses we have 4 vets, 6 RVNs who all have a varied medical and surgical caseload, including orthopaedics and cardiology. We fully empower our nurses to make full use of their talent including schedule 3. One of our RVNs has a physio diploma and use a class IV laser, as well as another RVN with a medical certificate so there is lots of variety and room to learn new skills.
By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients. Assistance from ANAs and an SVN with turning around theatre, patient prep.
About the role
The hours for this role can be adapted to suit the candidate and we can offer 35 – 39.5 hours per week on a rota basis. This role will include one 7.00pm finish per week and 1 in 3 Saturdays. Our Saturday rota alternates between 8.30 - 13.00 and 8.30 – 15.30, so only 1 in 6 full shift on a Saturday.
We are looking for someone with a good general nursing experience and great customer service skills. Friendly, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare. If you are a newly qualified Nurse looking to expand your experience or a more experienced Nurse looking to develop your skills further, we are looking forward to hearing from you.
