We're looking for a Part Time RVN to join our small animal practice nestled within the bustling Interchange Retail Park in Bedford. As part of the Pets at Home store, our location offers a fantastic work environment and easy access with plenty of onsite parking.

Why Choose Us?
At Bedford Companion Care, we are an RCVS accredited small animal practice with x-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory, haematology, biochemistry, dentistry and isolation. We are accredited silver cat friendly clinic. We also have a visiting ultrasonographer, ophthalmologist and peripatetic surgeon for orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgeries. We are keen on sustainability and use low flow anaesthesia, segregated recycling and fur clipping recycling (making mats to soak up oil spills). We are also a silver accredited rabbit friendly practice, and have lap spay equipment in practice.

You'll work alongside a dedicated team of 5 vets, 6 nurses, 1 VCA, and an exceptional client care team, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our dedicated and highly experienced nursing team of 6 hold over 90 years of experience in total. Each nurse has a different area of expertise from advanced anaesthesia to Exotic nursing.

We are a first opinion small animal practice but we do often see some exotics including birds and reptiles. Our Practice owner Jo, does hold a Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and we have two other vets who are particularly interested in exotics.

Your Role:

This role is working 3 x 10 hour days (8:30am to 7pm), including 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am to 5pm).

As a valued member of our team, you'll have the chance to utilise your nursing skills to the fullest. From admitting patients to monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients, your expertise will be instrumental in providing top-notch care. Don't worry; you won't be alone! You'll receive assistance from our VCA to ensure smooth operations in the theatre and patient prep areas.
