Registered Veterinary Nurse
Handforth, BST, SK9 3RN
Are you an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to join a warm, friendly, and supportive practice? We’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for an energetic and enthusiastic RVN or a confident second-year student nurse to join our friendly, close-knit team. Our practice is based on the outskirts of Bristol, in the vibrant Kingswood area of South Gloucestershire, offering a fantastic place to work. You’ll enjoy excellent transport links to the city centre—just 3.5 miles away—along with easy access to the beautiful Cotswolds and historic city of Bath.
Thanks to our prime location and loyal client base, we see a wide variety of interesting and rewarding cases, making this an excellent opportunity for an RVN looking to thrive in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Our nurses are at the heart of everything we do and play a pivotal clinical role in delivering exceptional patient care. This role is perfect for an ambitious, motivated RVN with strong communication skills, passionate about fully utilising and developing their nursing expertise alongside a supportive, forward-thinking team. We are dedicated to nurturing our nurses’ growth and providing ongoing opportunities for learning and professional development.
This is a full-time role, working 40 hours per week, including some weekends, with no out-of-hours duties
Join our supportive, experienced clinical team of five vets (two full-time, three part-time), working closely with three RVNs and two SVNs. You’ll also collaborate with our client care team — two VCAs, three receptionists, and a practice manager. We’re proud of the strong bonds we build with our clients, and we’re confident you’ll love working here too!
We’re a locally run, stand-alone practice with the support of a larger organisation. Our purpose-built, spacious clinic is bright, welcoming, and fully equipped with digital and dental x-ray, a new ultrasound, in-house lab, separate dog, cat, and isolation wards, four consultation rooms, and a large theatre — everything you need to deliver outstanding care.
We offer:
- Company pension & generous CPD allowance
- 5.5 weeks’ holiday (rising to 6.5)
- Colleague discounts, including 20% off Pets at Home
- Competitive salary up to £32,000, depending on experience
If you’re passionate about excellent patient care and client service and want to join a friendly, supportive team, we’d love to hear from you!
