Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Vets for Pets Telford for a motivated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly, supportive team.

Our modern practice is fully equipped with an in-house laboratory, digital x-ray, ultrasound, mono/bipolar electrocautery, tonopen and cryopen. We also provide complementary therapies, including acupuncture. It’s a busy practice with lots of variety, with nurses having prep/theatre shifts most days to utilise their nursing skills, plus a set consulting day once a week to build case continuity with nurse clinics.

You will be working alongside 4 vets, 2 of whom have surgical certficates, and 3 experienced RVNs, one currently completing her master’s in veterinary nursing and another beginning an ECC certificate. We are a nurse training practice, so often have an SVN on placement, as well as a full time VCA and an experienced practice manager and reception team.

We are located on Wrekin Retail Park and benefit from nearby shopping and dining facilities, free on-site parking, and convenient access to the beautiful Shropshire countryside, as well as the larger towns of Shrewsbury and Birmingham.

We’re looking for a nurse with solid all-round clinical skills, excellent customer service and a positive, down-to-earth approach. A genuine passion for animal welfare is essential. Strong organisational skills, the ability to work well within a team, and confidence in delivering high standards of patient care would be highly desirable.

We offer both full-time and part-time opportunities. We value a healthy work/life balance and are happy to discuss shift patterns to suit your needs. Some weekend work will be required with 1 in 4 Saturdays (8:30am–5:00pm) however, there are no Sundays or out-of-hours duties.

In return, we offer:

  • Competitive salary up to £30,000 pro rata, dependent on experience
  • No OOH or overnight inpatient checks
  • Generous CPD allowance, including funded certificates
  • A strong focus on wellbeing and regular social events
  • Contributory pension scheme
  • Paid professional memberships (RCVS, BVNA, VDS)
  • Exclusive company and high street discounts and rewards

Additional benefits include a 20% discount across the Vet Group, Pets at Home and the Groom Room, access to discounts and cashback schemes, internal career development opportunities, pension, and holiday allowance.

If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional pet healthcare and outstanding customer service, we would love to hear from you.
