Description:

Fareham Park Gate Vets for Pets has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our established, friendly and supportive team.

We are a forward-thinking, small animal practice that has proudly delivered high-quality care to our patients, clients and local community since 2001. Our nurses are genuinely valued members of the clinical team and play an integral role in the day-to-day running of the practice.

The Role

We actively encourage our RVNs to use their skills to the fullest. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Run regular nurse-led clinics
  • Carry out Schedule 3 procedures (where competent and confident)
  • Enjoy a varied caseload including theatre, dental procedures, inpatient care, consulting, and general nursing duties.

Our rota is designed to provide variety and balance, helping you achieve genuine job satisfaction. This is a full-time role of up to 40 hours per week and 1 in 4 Saturdays (no Sundays). No OOH

Our Practice

We are well-equipped with excellent facilities to support high clinical standards and nurse-led services, including:

  • K-Laser for nurse clinics
  • Multi-parameter monitors
  • Ultrasound
  • In-house Idexx laboratory machines
  • Digital x-ray (including dental)
  • Endoscope, blood pressure monitoring
  • Syringe drivers and infusion pumps
  • Exciting expansion of our surgical services, with laparoscopic surgery launching later this year
  • High rabbit case load

We also have dedicated dog, cat and isolation wards, and we run a full range of nurse-led clinics daily.

Our nursing team is 10+ strong, with a wide range of experience and roles from VCAs to RVNs. We are passionate about CPD and actively support further qualifications — several of our nurses have achieved additional certifications.

  • Is friendly, down-to-earth and has a positive, can-do attitude
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys working closely with both clients and colleagues
  • Holds (or is willing to train towards) a Clinical Coach qualification
  • Is a Registered Veterinary Nurse eligible to work in the UK
