Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Rawtenstall Vets for Pets. Whether you are a newly qualified nurse or experienced nurse, we would love to hear from you.

About Us:

Collectively, our clinical team brings over 60+ years of veterinary experience to the table, with a wide range of skills across medicine, surgery, diagnostics and patient care. Our nursing team adds a further 20+ years of combined experience, ensuring excellent standards of inpatient care, anaesthesia, and client support. Our experienced front-of-house team ties it all together — they're welcoming, efficient, and know many of our clients and their pets personally. It’s a knowledgeable, reliable, and close-knit group that thrives on teamwork.

We support each other through clinical challenges and celebrate successes together. Whether it’s sharing knowledge or enjoying a lunchtime laugh, you’ll always have someone to lean on.

At Rawtenstall Vets for Pets we handle a wide variety of cases — from routine consults and surgeries to more complex medical work-ups and soft tissue procedures. With advanced imaging including ultrasound and digital x-ray including dental x-ray, there’s plenty of opportunity to get involved in interesting and rewarding cases every day. We’re keen to support team members with interests in any field, if you’ve got a clinical passion, we’ll back you to develop it!

Our practice is in a great location, based on a busy and well-connected retail park. There’s a great selection of shops and places to grab food nearby, including M&S, Costa, Aldi, and Home Bargains. We’re just a short 5 minute drive away from Rawtenstall town centre and around 25 minutes to Manchester city centre by car, making it easy to enjoy the big city buzz as well as the remote countryside. We also have The East Lancashire steam which is a great way to explore.

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients.

To apply you will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare. Whether you are newly qualified or an experienced RVN, we would love to hear from you.
