A rare opportunity has arisen at our small animal practice in Falkirk Vets for Pets for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and welcoming team.

  • You will join a team that has very low colleague turn over
  • The practice has become a pillar of the local community and pride themselves in continuity of care ensuring all our colleagues have a great rapport with their clients and furry friends alike!
  • Seasonal holidays including Christmas day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day are classed as additional holidays per year!
  • The practice love to socialise outside of work including attending the weekly local quiz
  • Ideally this is a full-time position Weekends are worked on a 1 in 4 basis, it will also include one late evening per week
  • There will be the chance for you to develop your skills further with Nurse led clinics and opportunities to perform schedule 3
  • We believe in supporting all our colleagues to reach their potential so CPD and certificates will be supported 

About us: 
Falkirk is in the Central Lowlands of Scotland half an hour Northeast of Glasgow and an hour Northwest of Edinburgh in the Forth Valley. It is the perfect location for weekend getaways or exploring the countryside on your days off. The practice itself is based in Falkirk centre with ample parking and great local transport links, including frequent buses and a train station only a 5-minute walk from the practice.

The team is currently made up of 6 Vets, 8 RVN’s and 6 front of surgery colleagues, many of which have been with the practice since its opening, showing the family feel team we have created in the practice. This isn’t just in work either, we enjoy going for regular days or nights out to further enhance the great bond we have as a team. The team is led by our partner Samantha who studied at Edinburgh University and has over 15 years’ experience with both small and large animals.

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential, admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients. Assistance from VCA’s and an SVN with turning around theatre, patient prep.
To apply you will have good general nursing experience and great customer service skills, be cheerful, down-to-earth and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in animal welfare.

This is a full-time position of 40 hours a week and will include 1 in 4 weekends and 1 late evening per week
