Full-Time | 40 hours per week | 1 in 4 Weekends

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced or newly qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our warm and supportive team at Brislington Vets for Pets.

About Us

Brislington Vets for Pets is a locally owned, purpose-built small animal practice designed to industry-leading standards. Our bright, air-conditioned facility is fully equipped to support a busy GP practice, including a Class 4 laser, Vet-tome, dental FireCR digital radiography, a dedicated surgical suite, and a fully equipped dental suite.

Our Team

You will be joining a close-knit, highly experienced clinical team with a strong and supportive nursing focus. Our nursing team plays a central role in the smooth running of the practice and consists of three Registered Veterinary Nurses, one Student Nurse, and one VCA, all working collaboratively to deliver high standards of patient care.

The wider team is led by Practice Owner Gabriel, who has a strong surgical interest and is nearing completion of a certificate in orthopaedics. He is supported by three experienced vets, all of whom have been with the practice for over six years. One team member previously left but returned due to their strong connection to the practice, while another has been here since the practice opened—reflecting the positive, stable, and supportive environment we are proud of.

Alongside the clinical team, we have a Practice Manager, Deputy Practice Manager, and a dedicated group of friendly and professional Client Care Advisors. We also have two team members trained as Mental Health First Aiders, highlighting our ongoing commitment to staff wellbeing and a supportive workplace culture.

The Role

As an RVN within our team, you will have the opportunity to fully utilise and develop your nursing skills, including:

  • Patient admissions
  • Anaesthetic monitoring
  • Recovery care
  • Patient discharge

We are committed to supporting ongoing professional development and creating an environment where our nurses can thrive as part of a collaborative and rewarding team.

To be successful in this role, you will have solid general nursing experience along with strong customer service skills. You will be cheerful, approachable, and down-to-earth, with enthusiasm for your work and a genuine passion for animal welfare.

In return, we can offer you:

  • Competitive salary up between £29,000 to £32,000 dependant on experience
  • No OOH or overnight in patient checks
  • Generous CPD (including funded Certificates)
  • Social events and emphasis on wellbeing

  • Exclusive company and high street discounts and rewards
