Senior Vet Wanted: Love Surgery? Come and Help Us Develop Ours
If you're an experienced vet who is happiest in theatre and wants the freedom and support to develop a varied surgical caseload, we'd love to hear from you.
We're looking for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon with strong surgical experience to join our friendly team at Vets for Pets Bedford Interchange.
What we're offering:
- Up to £65,000 FTE
- Flexible 3 or 4-day week
- 1 in 4 Saturdays
- No OOH
- 15-minute consultations
- Varied surgical and medical caseload
- Laparoscopic surgery facilities
- Excellent, highly experienced nursing support
- Certificate funding and generous CPD
- Clinical freedom in a locally owned practice
- Paid RCVS, BVA and VDS memberships
- Private medical plan
- Relocation allowance for eligible direct applicants
We're an RCVS-accredited, Silver Cat Friendly and Rabbit Friendly practice seeing everything from everyday first-opinion medicine and surgery to rabbits, exotics and more advanced procedures.
Our seven experienced nurses have more than 100 years' combined nursing experience, and we also work alongside visiting clinicians providing ophthalmology, orthopaedic and advanced soft tissue surgery and ultrasonography.
We've recently introduced laparoscopic spays and are keen to continue developing our surgical offering. That's why surgical confidence is a key requirement for this role.
We're looking for someone who can confidently handle routine surgery and medical cases, enjoys working collaboratively and takes pride in providing an excellent standard of care. If you'd like to develop towards a certificate or expand your surgical skills further, we'll support you.
We're also proud holders of Outstanding RCVS Practice Standards Awards for Customer Service and Sustainability and a Silver Investors in the Environment accreditation.
