Veterinary Care Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Northampton Vets for Pets Hospital.
We are a purpose built RCVS hospital, with 10 consulting rooms, 3 theatres, 4 wards, isolation, imaging suite and a spacious and well equipped colleague room for you to enjoy your breaks.
You will assist all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the hospital and provide the best standard of patient care. Duties will include reception cover, as well as taking the lead on hygiene and housekeeping duties for the hospital.
This is a Full-Time position working 40 hours per week on average, with a mixture of day and OOH shifts. There will be approximately 60 OOH shifts a year as part of your rota (7pm-8am). The shifts will span 7 days a week to support the 24/7 hospital, with an average of 1 in 3 weekends across the year.

- You can deal with everything that is thrown at you, from comforting a client who has had some bad news about their pet or sharing in the joy of a new puppy’s first visit to the vet.
