Swindon Vets for Pets - Veterinary Surgeon (12-Month FTC, Part-Time)

Looking for a role where you can feel supported, valued, and part of a genuinely friendly team?

We’re excited to offer a 12-month fixed-term opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our welcoming team at Swindon Vets for Pets.

The Role

This is a part-time position (approx. 20–30 hours per week) with flexibility to suit your lifestyle. Ideally, you’ll work across Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, with some Saturday mornings on a fair rota.

We’re open to discussing working patterns to find what works best for you.

About You

We’re looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who:

  • Is confident with routine surgery and consultations
  • Enjoys working as part of a collaborative, supportive team
  • Has strong communication skills and builds great client relationships
  • An interest in exotics would be a bonus, but not essential

About the Practice

You’ll be joining a friendly and experienced team of 14, including:

  • 3 Veterinary Surgeons (including a medicine certificate holder)
  • 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses
  • 1 Student Nurse
  • 1 Veterinary Care Assistant
  • Dedicated admin team

Our well-equipped practice includes:

  • 3 consult rooms
  • Separate dog and cat wards
  • Operating theatre
  • Dental X-ray
  • Ultrasound
  • Endoscope
  • Fully equipped in-house lab (IDEXX suite)

We also have a comfortable colleague space, and a well-stocked team larder, because we know the little things matter!
