Veterinary Receptionist - Maternity Cover

16 hours per week | 12-month fixed-term contract

We’re looking for a friendly, caring and enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Bath Vets for Pets on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

As the first point of contact for our clients and their much-loved pets, you’ll play an important role in creating a warm, welcoming and professional experience while helping the practice run smoothly.

What you’ll be doing:

• Welcoming clients and their pets to the practice
• Answering telephone calls and responding to enquiries
• Booking and managing appointments
• Processing payments and completing general administrative tasks
• Supporting the wider veterinary team with the day-to-day running of the practice
• Delivering excellent customer service to every client

This is a 12-month fixed-term maternity cover position, working 16 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays with a salary will be in line with the National Minimum Wage.

• Is friendly, approachable and confident
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills
• Is organised and works well as part of a team
• Has a genuine love of animals
• Can remain calm and professional in a busy environment

Previous veterinary reception experience would be an advantage, but it’s not essential.
