Please note that while this role is contractually based at Abingdon Vets for Pets, the successful applicant will work across all three of our sites: Abingdon Vets for Pets, Oxford Vets for Pets, and Didcot Vet for Pets.

Duties are shared between sites, so complete flexibility to work across all locations is essential. A valid driving licence and access to your own transport would be advantageous.

What your typical day will look like

  • Provide exceptional service to clients and ensure the best care for their pets, acting as a vital link between clients and the clinical team.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, their pets, and the practice team to ensure ongoing trust and satisfaction.
  • Deliver excellent client service during visits, ensuring clients leave feeling valued and confident in the care received.
  • Greet clients and provide support, guidance, and expertise while confidently managing payments and future bookings.
  • Coordinate the smooth day-to-day running of the practice using our online booking system, so strong computer literacy is essential.
  • Manage a range of administrative duties including booking appointments, handling payments, recalls, care plans, insurance, registering ID chips, cashing up, completing end-of-day checks, and ensuring the overall smooth operation of the practice.

This is a Full Time Role working 40 Hours Per week with 1 in 3 Weekends.

  • Previous veterinary reception experience is desirable but not essential.
