Description: 

We are seeking a friendly and organised candidate with a passion for providing a service that goes above and beyond, to join our small but dedicated team. This is a varied and rewarding role combining front-of-house reception duties with hands-on support for our clinical team, working on a static rota of 40 hours, which will include a mixture of morning and evening shifts and 1 in 4 weekends.

Havant Vets for Pets has been open since 2018 and although we are a small team we are part of a group of associated practices within the Solent area which has supported local pets for over 20 years. Our sister surgeries include Portsmouth Solent Vets for Pets, Fareham Park Gate Vets for Pets, Fareham Collingwood Vets for Pets and Waterlooville Vets for Pets

The Ideal Candidate needs to:

  • Provide a polite and confident telephone manner and deal with a range of client emotions.
  • Be able to multi-task in a busy environment
  • Have relevant client facing experience and excellent customer service.
  • Have good communication skills
  • Be able to work well within a team with non-clinical and clinical staff.
  • Be presentable and provide a positive experience for our clientele
  • Previous reception experience is preferred but not necessary as full training will be provided along with the opportunity to expand your learning and career. 

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Greeting clients with a warm welcome, both in person and over the phone.
  • Answering phones and managing our digital services including emails and text.
  • Administration tasks including paper work for hospitalised inpatients, insurance claim forms and daily cashing up reports.
  • Assisting with clinical team
  • Booking appointments, placing prescription orders and recording all client and patient information accurately on to our in-house system
  • Discussing our bespoke package offers to clients to deliver the best care for our patients.
