Veterinary Surgeon - Flexible hours to work around you!
Handforth, SRY, SK9 3RN
Salary: Up to £65,000 (Pro Rata)
Hours: 20–30 hours per week (Friday, Saturday + one flexible weekday)
Are you looking for a part-time role with a warm, supportive, and fun team? We’re a small but mighty group of animal lovers at Vets for Pets Staines, and we’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join us as we continue to expand.
About Us
We’re a close-knit team of seven made up of 1 Vet, 2 RVNs, 1 SVN and 3 Receptionists (including our Practice Manager/JVP, who’s also an RVN!) Between us, we’ve got over 30 years of combined experience — and a genuine passion for what we do. Our culture is friendly, professional, and full of mutual support. We believe in taking great care of our people as well as our patients - we have a Mental Health First Aider, a Clinical Supervisor, Physical & Mental Health support, and trained First Aiders in the team, ensuring wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do.
Most of our caseload involves routine care, preventative healthcare, and day-to-day consultations, with the occasional more advanced case to keep things interesting.
Our practice is modern and well-equipped, featuring: In-house lab, Digital X-ray & dental X-ray, Dental suite & theatre, Ultrasound, Tonometry pen and Glass kennels.
The Role
We’re ideally looking for a confident Veterinary Surgeon with solid experience who’s comfortable with sole charge. You’ll work Fridays (9am–7pm), Saturdays (9am–5pm), and one additional weekday to suit your schedule - 20-30 hours per week in total.
If you’re an experienced Vet who enjoys working independently but loves being part of a close, supportive team — we’d love to hear from you!
