Are you an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking for your next opportunity in a welcoming, team-focused practice? At Ely Vets for Pes, we're looking for a dedicated vet to join our friendly and inclusive team.

We believe that a positive working environment is the foundation of excellent patient care. You'll be joining a close-knit team of 2 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 RVNs and 3 Receptionists, who genuinely enjoy working together. Collaboration, support and plenty of laughter are part of everyday life here – and there's almost always chocolate in the staff room!

The Role

This is a varied first-opinion role with a steady and rewarding caseload, including routine consultations, surgery and the occasional emergency or more unusual case. Our highly capable nursing team and dedicated receptionists work closely with our vets to ensure the best possible experience for both patients and clients.

We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon who:

• Is confident working in a first-opinion practice
• Is comfortable with occasional sole charge
• Enjoys working collaboratively within a supportive team
• Is passionate about delivering exceptional patient and client care

This is a full-time position, including 1 in 4 Saturdays, with no out-of-hours or overnight work. We're also happy to discuss flexible working patterns to help accommodate childcare or other personal commitments wherever possible.

Our Facilities

Our well-equipped, purpose-built practice offers everything you need to provide high-quality care, including:

• Digital X-ray
• Dental X-ray
• New ultrasound machine
• Laser therapy
• Rhinoscope

While the majority of our patients are cats and dogs, we also occasionally treat exotic species such as lizards and rats, adding even more variety to the caseload.

Located in the beautiful historic city of Ely, our stand-alone practice is just a two-minute walk from the vibrant city centre, with its independent shops, cafés and the magnificent Ely Cathedral.

For those who enjoy the outdoors, there are picturesque walks along the River Great Ouse and nearby nature reserves to explore. Excellent transport links also make it easy to visit Cambridge, Newmarket, Peterborough and even the Norfolk coastline.
